“My husband’s name is Mathew Wiberg and we met through some friends growing up.  We have a two-year-old daughter named Addison Mae. I saw my gown featured in a local bridal magazine along with Avenía Bridal’s shop information. I was looking for something totally different; a drop waist, lots of tulle on the skirt, and ballerina length. Something vintage inspired. But I saw Maeve in Priscilla of Boston’s Vineyard Collection in the magazine and fell in love.  It was perfect in the picture, and even more perfect when I tried it on. I loved everything about my dress (especially the pockets, which were perfect to have on my wedding day). Avenía did great with fitting my dress and making sure it was perfect for the wedding.  It’s nice for a bride to have one less thing to stress about.”

The visit with Junko Yoshioka and her team is always a market highlight! So happy to meet with them again and see her fabulous new collection. Junko does detail like no one else!

Trends we saw from her Fall 2012 collection: she introduced matelasse fabric to Bridal, incorporated ombre, used striking laces and laser cuts, corseted bodices, embroidered peacock organza (exquisitely unique!!) and even some truly glamorous sparkle gowns. This just may be Junko’s best collection to date!
