One of the reasons Avenía Bridal chooses to carry the designers we do is because of buildups. Many of our clientele desire shoulders and sleeves on their wedding gowns due to religious reasons, and so it is important to us to have designers willing to give our brides this option. The best part is knowing the “altered” gown will not lose any of its integrity or beauty in the process. Sometimes, the gown improves!

Here is an example of a great designer build-up, along with some finishing touches by our very own Nancy Barrus.

Our visits to design house Rivini are always a highlight of Bridal Fashion Week. The runway show and presentation for the collection is always fabulous. The view of Manhattan is amazing from their penthouse suite.

The Spring 2010 collection was exquisite, truly reflecting all of the latest bridal trends, as well as classic silhouettes. From designer Rita Vinieris’s perspective, “the mood was light and airy with clouds of tulle and mystical overlays of tissue organza.”

Rivini’s signature embellishment was evident in every piece, from couture floral accents to delicate beadwork and embroidery. We also loved their stunning accessories.
