The spectacular Rivini runway show was held at the historic Alvin Alley Dance theater.

Inspired by Giocanni Boldini’s painting “Scena Galante,” Rivini’s new collection portrays an ethereal feeling with a modern take.

We love Rita and her designs! The details in the gowns are always exquisite and the Fall 2012 collection was no exception.
In addition to the traditional ivory, the colors of fawn, elderberry and tea rose were introduced. Fabulous!

Theme: New York Bridal Fashion Week | Comments (0) | Autor: Bree Jun20 Monday, 20. June 2011 9:25 The Spring 2011 Bridal Market in New York which took place this past April is proving to be an event full of color, texture, unique fabrics and exciting accessories.

Carlos Ramirez, designer for Liancarlo, created his Spring 2012 collection with a bit of a twist from his past designs. Ramirez encompassed “romantic fairy tales and childhood dreams” as he used the modern day ballet Swan Lake as his main inspiration:

This figure flattering trumpet style gown is adorned with dramatic beading throughout the bodice which trickles down into yards of French tulle and silk organza, which is clipped to give the illusion of feathers. A Swarovski and pearl encrusted sash accentuates her waist.
Ramirez’s use of fabric and detail in his complete collection evoke dreamlike emotion. Here is a further glimpse of Liancarlo’s Spring 2012 collection:

Gowns by Liancarlo are available through our boutique and available to be built up with sleeves and shoulders if desired. To view and try on gowns by Liancarlo or other designers, please call Avenía Bridal to schedule an appointment: 801-373-0194.

June 2011 8:59 The April 2011 New York Bridal Market showed the romance of Rivini’s latest collection, inspired by Spring in Central Park. Soft beading, delicate sparkle and beautiful shades of ivory are present in each gown. Silk basket weave tulles and alencon laces are some of the fabrics seen in this romantic collection for Spring 2012.

Theme: Collections, Current Events, New York Bridal Fashion Week | Comments (0) | Autor: Rebekah Oct25 Monday, 25. October 2010 9:00 Highlights from Monday at Bridal Market? Where to begin? Monday brought visits to designers with whom we already work, visits to designers to see what is new in our bridal world, and visits to many of our favorite accessory friends to discover beautiful pieces of jewelry to add to our collection at the boutique.

Our appointment at Rivini was best summed up by our intern Bree – “Pure perfection. Period.” All of this season’s trends reflected pairings of silk organzas and tulles, hand-crafted flowers, draping and hand pleating, a touch of black and beautiful ribbon belts with crystals and pearls. Amazing. Our pictures don’t do the gowns justice in the least. Look for official Rivini gown images in the future.

The Knot Magazine’s Anniversary Gala, held at the magnificent New York Public Library, was our evening event. Beautiful scenery, bridal designers, bridal stores and lots of media awaited our arrival, as did amazing food, music and incredible sights. This event made enduring four-inch stilettos for three hours completely worth it. Absolutely. And great news- The Knot magazine is now available as an IPad application. How great is that?

Remember the barbie birthday cake you had when you were a little girl? This was so much more! 20 feet of a floral wedding gown. Stunning. Truly stunning.
Marble hallways lit with pink lights. Ethereal.
Lisa and Nancy with one of our favorite designers, Rita Vinieris, founder and designer for Rivini.
Nancy and Paris accessory designer, Debra Moreland. We love her unique pieces with vintage feel.
Yes- Randy from Kleinfeld’s was there! And Nancy’s necklace? An amazing Ti Adoro piece from the Avenía boutique.
What an evening!

Highlights of the day? Hands down the St. Pucchi and Junko Yoshioka runway shows. Two words – visual nirvana. Pictures cannot do justice to these experiences, but here they are:
St Pucchi 25th Anniversary runway show – stunningly gorgeous, dramatic, opulent, beautiful

The Junko Yoshioka’s Runway Show was held in the Penthouse of the Trump Soho NY. The view alone was to die for. We could not ask for a more amazing showcase for Junko’s exquisite gowns.

I am happy to report that some of our favorite bridal trends are alive and well in the Spring 2011 collections- gowns with dimension provided by fabric, appliques and flowers. Lots of flounce and clouds of organza and tulle, accents of black here and there, and distinctive floral designs add beauty and visual interest. We saw bows, geometric patterns and soft, muted purples, blues and browns for accent colors. Something for everyone!

What a fun day, full of appointments with some of our favorite designers and their beautiful gowns-

Autumn time in New York City: a little rain, a little wind, a little sun and a lot of excitement for Bridal market! It’s obvious the Wedding Channel Couture Bridal Show is just around the corner as the lobby of the Intercontinental Barclay hotel greets us with a white forest of wedding gown displays.

Friday during Bridal Week is Fashion District Day, a day that always brings a renewed awe and amazement for the selections of fabrics, laces and trims to be found. Today we visited the “New York Flower Man” and his fabulous showroom and manufacturing facility- small on space, but huge on creativity, full of die cuts and, of course, fabric flowers. It was so fun to see flowers made out of every sort of fabric imaginable, including velvet and leather! Floral accents have been made especially for Avenía Bridal as well as for many of the top wedding and fashion designers of the world.

Theme: Current Events, New York Bridal Fashion Week | Comments (0) | Autor: Rebekah Oct16 Saturday, 16. October 2010 8:56 With New York Bridal Week finally here, we bring you a look into Liancarlo’s Fall 2011 bridal collection.
 Liancarlo- Fall 2011
“While lace continues to be a strong influence for Carlos, he continues to explore achieving texture and surface interest by juxtaposing fabrics such as tulle and organza. On this gown the all over Origami like detail makes up the skirt. Each organza and tulle fold is individually cut and stitched on the skirt creating a gentle cascading effect,” said Liancarlo representative, Maria Fernandez.
