Lace was invented in the 15th and 16th centuries, but it wasn’t until the 19th century when our modern lace choices were introduced. But lace has always been fashionable; it represents distinguished taste. We see this in paintings from Rembrandt to Van Dyck –the exquisite fabric is timeless. And even though the intricacies of lace-making and lace-patterns widely vary, the choice of classic lace is once again the height of fashion. When I finally discovered Nancy, I described to her the dress that I had in mind. She drew it up exactly as I described it and created just as I had dreamed. She made many great suggestions but was not forceful in her opinion. Her work is flawless and tasteful. I'm really glad I went with Nancy and didn't settle. ----------------- The dress for the High School Musical 3 premier was stunning; everybody loved it and saw exactly what we were going for—that classic Hollywood movie star elegance! Your work is flawless and comparable, if not better, than any Italian, French or Hollywood designer I have ever worn. ------------------ I have sewed all my life, and know about the work involved in transforming a strapless gown into a modest wedding dress. You must be a perfectionist, because I was so impressed with the details of the finished product. Thank you for continuing to work on the dress until it was perfect.
