Theme: Photo Shoot | Comments (0) | Autor: Rebekah Jun20 Monday, 20. June 2011 9:25 The Spring 2011 Bridal Market in New York which took place this past April is proving to be an event full of color, texture, unique fabrics and exciting accessories.

Carlos Ramirez, designer for Liancarlo, created his Spring 2012 collection with a bit of a twist from his past designs. Ramirez encompassed “romantic fairy tales and childhood dreams” as he used the modern day ballet Swan Lake as his main inspiration:

This figure flattering trumpet style gown is adorned with dramatic beading throughout the bodice which trickles down into yards of French tulle and silk organza, which is clipped to give the illusion of feathers. A Swarovski and pearl encrusted sash accentuates her waist.
Ramirez’s use of fabric and detail in his complete collection evoke dreamlike emotion. Here is a further glimpse of Liancarlo’s Spring 2012 collection:

Gowns by Liancarlo are available through our boutique and available to be built up with sleeves and shoulders if desired. To view and try on gowns by Liancarlo or other designers, please call Avenía Bridal to schedule an appointment: 801-373-0194.

June 2011 8:59 The April 2011 New York Bridal Market showed the romance of Rivini’s latest collection, inspired by Spring in Central Park. Soft beading, delicate sparkle and beautiful shades of ivory are present in each gown. Silk basket weave tulles and alencon laces are some of the fabrics seen in this romantic collection for Spring 2012.

The knot.com featured the Rivini runway show on their website, click here to watch. Also check out the “behind the scenes”photos of Rivini’s runway show that theweddingco.com posted. The detail and beauty of Rivini gowns make them easy to fall in love with, which is exactly what we did here at Avenia.

Lauren’s gown, #2917 by designer Tara Keely, is a silk satin organza gown with a sweetheart neckline, alencon enhanced dropped waist, beaded applique accents and ribbon at empire bodice, and a three tiered overlay flounce skirt flowing into a chapel train.
Original Tara Keely 2917 Design:

Because the original gown by Tara Keely is designed strapless, Lauren requested the gown be built up with sleeves and shoulders as a personal preference. Feminine, scalloped cap-sleeves were tastefully added along with a sophisticated Queen Anne neckline. Lauren’s build-up was designed and executed completely by our in-house design studio at Avenía Bridal.

Theme: Designer Build-Up, Portraits of Real Brides | Comments (0) | Autor: Rebekah May02 Monday, 2. May 2011 8:50 This weekend the world was finally able to see the wedding gown chosen by Kate Middleton, and it was certainly fit for a princess!

The long-awaited moment was anything but disappointing as Kate Middleton revealed to the world her wedding gown on the steps of Westminster Abby before her marriage to Prince William. Kate arrived in a breathtaking ivory and satin, v-neck wedding gown with lace long-sleeves and a regal 8-foot train.

Kate chose a fitted, sweetheart bodice, which complimented her figure beautifully. The lace sleeves and subtle v neck-line gave a modern twist to the traditional full skirt and long train. Her veil was simple yet proportional to her body and the rest of her wedding gown, with floral, hand-stitched lace trim. Kate looked simply timeless!

We can’t exclude Kate’s sister Pippa from our fashion review as she looked stunning in a simple, white maid of honor dress- a turn from the tradition that only the bride is to wear white on her wedding day.

Pippa greeted Kate as she arrived at the red carpet entrance to Westminster Abbey in this short-sleeved, fitted, white dress featuring a swooped neckline and lace and button details that coordinated with Kate’s gown. Both Kate and Pippa’s gowns were by designer Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. Exquisite!

Theme: Current Events | Comments (0) | Autor: Rebekah Apr21 Thursday, 21. April 2011 6:34 Bride Teri came to our in-house designer Nancy Barrus at Avenía Bridal in search of her perfect custom wedding gown. She knew just what she wanted: a flowing, white column-gown with quarter-length sleeves and a wrapped waist. Simply beautiful!

Teri and Dave were married in April in the Jordan River Temple and held a vintage, old fashioned-themed wedding reception in the historic Provo City Library, the old Brigham Young Academy in Provo, Utah. Teri’s gown fit her wedding theme perfectly- elegant, classic, timeless.

Congratulations Teri and Dan! We send our best wishes for your happiness and success.

Theme: Custom Couture, Portraits of Real Brides | Comments (0) | Autor: Rebekah Apr15 Friday, 15. April 2011 6:49 It is always a happy day at Avenía when we unwrap the latest Rivini gown at our boutique. Yvonne has arrived and we love her as much as the first day we saw her in New York last October.

Rivini’s Fall 2011 Collection was inspired by the unstructured style of Monet’s Garden at Giverny, France. Yvonne brings with her a sea of diaphanous silk-organza and tulle, creating tiers of airy, free-flowing ruffles . Yvonne’s lightly draped bodice is surrounded by a crystal, beaded applique at the waist. Pure perfection!

Yvonne is available as shown or customized with sleeves and shoulders if desired.
